The Prater sanitary rotary valve contains cutting-edge design features that include a split packing gland for easy packing seal changeovers without rotor dismantling, and the addition of a proprietary shaft seal indicator that eliminates seal replacement guesswork. Additionally, the new and easy “dual cleaning zone” design provides access for drive side sanitation. Fabricated from FDA-compliant construction materials, the valve utilizes a direct shaft-mounted drive with a choice of speed and mounting configurations. Constructed from stainless steel, the valves feature easy-to-clean swept surfaces, assuring sanitary conformance. The rotor and internal product contact surfaces have a No. 4 finish while also featuring vent ports, eight-blade rotor design, round ANSI/DIN flanges, and dual heavy-duty shaft bearings on each end plate. The unit will operate with product temperatures up to 500°F and up to +/- 12 psi differential, and is designed for high-pressure wash down applications.
