ProFlapPlusII Passive Explosion Isolation Valve

The ProFlapPlusII explosion isolation valve is a passive device that self-actuates by the pressure wave created by an explosion inside a vented vessel and prevents flame propagation to upstream processes. Triggering sensors or controllers are not necessary to actuate the valve, and valve component functions are continuously monitored by integrated sensors that allow for extended maintenance intervals. When accompanied by FENWAL’s explosion relief vents, ProFlapPlusII provides a total passive protection solution, while helping users meet the requirements of OSHA Combustible Dust Directive and NFPA 654. The ProFlapPlusII is ATEX certified for organic and inorganic dusts with KST values up to 300 bar.m/s for duct sizes ranging from 5 to 12 inches in diameter, and KST values up to 200 bar.m/s for duct sizes ranging from 14 to 40 inches in diameter.
