Elderly Man Loses Life in Grain Bin Accident
The man was helping unload soybeans when the accident occurred.

A 94-year-old man died in a grain bin incident in Iowa on Monday, officials said.
The Fremont County Sheriff's office said Robert Wayne Smith was unloading soybeans in Tabor, Iowa while running a grain vacuum before he was found dead.
It appears that the man was helping in a bin unloading soybeans while running a grain vacuum. Smith’s son was out moving the semi that they were loading. When the son came back to the bin Robert was found under the beans.
Smith was pronounced dead at the scene and is being sent to the State Medical Examiners Office in Ankeny to determine the cause of death.
Tabor Fire and Rescue received assistance at the scene by Randolph Fire and Sidney Fire and Rescue.
Tabor is a small town in southwestern Iowa near the state's border with Nebraska, about 40 miles southeast of Omaha.
The Fremont County Sheriff's Office is investigating the accident.
