The new MM 500 sub-micron mixer mill is a compact, versatile bench-top unit that has been developed for dry, wet, and cryogenic grinding of up to 2 x 45 ml sample material within seconds.
With a maximum frequency of 35 Hz, it generates enough energy to produce particles in the nanometer range. The robust high-performance drive makes the mill suitable for long-term grinding processes up to 99 hours. It provides a true alternative to grinding in a planetary ball mill, with fast, more comfortable handling and less warming effects.
The MM 500 has a wide range of accessories including various jar and ball sizes, grinding materials, and a CryoKit. Its convenient 4.3-in. touch display allows complete control of the system and the ability to store 12 standard operating procedures and four program cycles. It seamlessly connects to a downloadable app that allows control from a Wi-Fi-enabled device.
