CPS Opens New cGMP Plant

Custom Processing Services announces the opening of its new cGMP processing stations at its Reading, PA manufacturing campus. Food-grade, pharmaceutical excipient, and active pharmaceutical ingredient processing is now available.

With the addition of the new 42,000-sq-ft plant, any of the processes currently being performed at CPS’s existing tolling facility may potentially be done in a clean room environment. The firm provides a variety of particle size reduction services, such as micronizing, fluidized bed jet milling, classifying, media milling, dispersions, blending, and surface treating. Custom Processing Services’ technical experts are also open to installing new equipment for dedicated contract manufacturing operations, particularly in the cGMP area.

The entire facility was specifically designed to accommodate the rigorous demands of cGMP production. CPS is adhering to the ICH Q7A guidelines, as well as FDA requirement part 210/211 of CFR 21.

A system of policies and procedures for validations, allergen and chemical controls, food defense protocols, and an HACCP program ensure the quality and safety of all finished products.
