Eriez to Double Manufacturing Space for Metal Detection Product Line
June 18, 2014
Eriez will double the manufacturing space for metal detection production at its headquarters, according to Tim Shuttleworth, president and CEO.
“Our sales for the new Xtreme metal detector have exceeded our forecast, and we have decided to double our manufacturing capacity this summer,” said Shuttleworth. “This will shorten lead times and help meet the growing demand in the food, plastics, and other processing industries. Plans include expanding the footprint for our plant as well as dedicating a significant amount of space to metal detection.”
The Xtreme metal detector offers enhanced features, improved sensitivity, and intuitive operation. The ultra-sleek metal detector blends simplicity and sophistication with its easy-to-navigate control with seven-inch wide color interface.
Made for light industry applications, including chemical, food processing, packaging, textiles, pharmaceuticals, plastics, and rubber, the Xtreme offers a completely re-designed and user-friendly interface. Other highlights include full QWERTY keyboard, robust auto set-up, dedicated reject log, and vivid display.
“We modeled our interface after today’s stylish and advanced smartphones,” said Shuttleworth. “We have also noticed a spike in sales of the new Eriez metal loss monitor in the recycling industry. The demand for this technology will also be addressed by our plant expansion.”
