Bunting Magnetics Appoints New Product Manager for Metal Detection Products

Rod Henricks has been named as the new product manager – metal detection for Bunting Magnetics Co., headquartered in Newton, KS. 

“The metal detection product line has been strong for us in terms of sales and overall importance to the company,” Robert J. Bunting, the company’s owner and chief executive officer said. “Rod brings a wealth of sales, customer service, and management experiences which will help us expand what we can offer our customers.”

Henricks will be responsible for an extensive line of metal detection equipment that protect against ferrous and non-ferrous metals. This includes product models which are specifically designed for free-flowing gravity-fed products, pneumatically conveyed materials, materials on conveyor belts, and even liquids. In addition, he will oversee the growth of the Metal Detection Service Department which offers customers quick response resolution either by phone or through field visits. Henricks will have responsibility for the worldwide sales effort for this product line as well as all new product development.

Henricks, who holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Wichita State University, brings more than 20 years of experience in the automotive, transportation, and magnetic products industries. He ran his own accounting firm prior to entering into the manufacturing industry as general manager with Unruh Fab, based in Sedgwick, KS. He then served as the general sales manager for Bunting prior to moving back into the transportation industry with Hillsboro Industries and MVP Technologies, both local area manufacturers.
