Paul Scott has joined Bunting Magnetics Co., headquartered in Newton, KS, as a design engineer for its material handling product line.

“Paul is a talented individual who brings energy and a deep technical background to our team,” Don Suderman, Bunting product manager – material handling said. “With the complexity of our equipment, it is vital to have Paul because he has developed intricate manufacturing and design concepts in the past. Also, his knowledge of different CAD programming tools will enable us to respond quickly to our clients’ request for quick quotations and deliveries.”

Scott holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Kansas State University in Mechanical Engineering. His background includes design and engineering for the automotive, magnetic material, and aerospace industries. A member of the Society of Automotive Engineers, Scott has extensive experience with Pro/E, Catia V5/Enovia CAD software, as well as Perl and Visual Basic programming. This is his second stint with Bunting as he served as a design engineer for the magnetic separation product line before working at Cessna Aircraft Co., located in Wichita, KS, as an associate engineer for their Design & Flight Controls group.

Scott’s primary focus at Bunting will be to design custom material handling equipment into customer’s applications. He will also assist in the automation of the design process through the expanded use of software applications.
