Wear Protection for Tough Applications

The Ceram-Back blind tee produces the mechanical protection of an impact elbow with all the protection of a Ceram-Back coated elbow. A standard blind tee protects by filling up its capped pocket with conveying material and letting abrasive material wear against itself. This design provides excellent wear protection and less product degradation than standard elbows. While blind tees do have similar abrasion resistance compared to vortex-style elbows, they do not need minimum flow requirements to operate properly.

Additionally, the Ceram-Back blind tee offers the reinforcement of extremely hard ceramic coating, which not only protects the pocket, but also the secondary wear points found in both standard blind tees and vortex elbows. Both technologies work together to achieve longer life for tough applications.
