Vac-U-Max Moves to New Facility
January 3, 2011
Vac-U-Max, a pioneer since 1954 of the pneumatic conveying system and industrial vacuum cleaners, has completed a move to its new 71,000-sq-ft facility that includes a fully functional state-of-the-art 6000-sq-ft test and demonstration facility.
The new facility at 69 Williams St. in Belleville, NJ, puts all of the assembly, fabrication, inventory, and corporate offices under one roof.
"We’re looking forward to 2011," says Doan Pendleton, vice president of marketing and sales at Vac-U-Max. "The move enables us to increase our communication, improve our workflow process, and allows us to work as a more cohesive unit,"
Continuing its 50-year practice of testing at no charge to potential customers, the test and demonstration facility is equipped to simulate the actual conditions at a customer’s site. Whether a pneumatic conveying system application calls for a bulk bag unloader, bag dump stations, microprocessor controlled batch weighing systems, or precise batching of small quantities of multiple ingredients in varying recipe, Vac-U-Max has the ability to create a multitude of equipment configurations and vacuum conveying tests.
In addition to providing complete, ready-to-operate systems for food packaging and reloading applications as well as pharmaceutical and chemical applications Vac-U-Max provides custom sheet metal fabricating, TIG and MIG welding with argon blanketing for sanitary welds, passivation to eliminate chemical reactivity, powder coating, glass bead blasting, and laser cutting capabilities for a facility’s custom designed pneumatic conveying system.
Specializing in the design and manufacture of innovative pneumatic conveyor systems and support equipment for the conveying, weighing, and batching of dry materials, the primary technology for a pneumatic conveying system is vacuum, but positive pressure pneumatic conveyor systems, as well as mechanical conveyors, are also used as specific applications dictate
The test and demonstration facility is equipped to conduct a plethora of vacuum conveying tests and to demonstrate Vac-U-Max’s extensive line of vacuum conveyors as well as its line of industrial vacuum cleaners.
Heavy-duty industrial vacuums improve a facility’s cleanliness, improve working conditions and safety for employees, reduce downtime of valuable production equipment, enhance quality control efforts and recycle material previously considered as waste.
Industrial vacuum cleaners for manufacturing and municipal facilities, government installations and environmental sites can be tested to ensure the most efficient performance for each specific application.
Wet and dry applications include housekeeping of dust on floors, walls, and machine surfaces, bulk powder spill recovery, liquid spill cleanup, sump cleaning and tank emptying, and process clean-out. Custom-engineered vacuum cleaning systems are also available.
