Pneumatic Line Housing

Industrial Magnetics’ pneumatic line housing (PLH) design bucks the industry trend of a single, center-flow cartridge circuit. Instead, the PLH incorporates a series of 1-in.-diam 52 MGOe rare earth tubes on staggered centers. This ensures that all product has repeated contact with the magnets. IMI improved the holding strength of its Bullet magnet with its 52 MGOe circuit. It now offers a nominal pull test capacity of 22 lb on a ½-in. ball. This addition has increased the ability to capture and hold metal fines and weakly magnetic steel. The exposed pole tube (EPT) improves product purity by capturing both large ferrous metal contaminants and small, weakly magnetic fines. The EPT is intended for use where product degradation or fibrous materials are being conveyed, since the magnetic circuit does not impede product flow. The 4JIT vacuum line magnet is ideal for vacuum unloading systems for handling pelletized products, plastic resins, and granules from bins, boxes hoppers, and gaylords.
