The ISPE Foundation Diversity Internship Program, with WuXi Biologics, has announced the 2023 internship recipient: Erin Cooper.

Cooper was selected from a highly competitive pool of applicants from across the United States, according to the ISPE (International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering).

A Biochemistry major at the Colorado School of Mines, Cooper will work as an intern this summer in a process development role at WuXi Biologics.

"I feel incredibly grateful that I was selected as an intern for the ISPE Diversity Internship Program," said Cooper. "I am looking forward to working with my wonderful team at WuXi Biologics to tackle big problems. I am also looking forward to learning new scientific skills and interacting with people from all across the pharmaceutical industry!"

The ISPE Foundation established the internship program in 2020 to provide opportunities to typically underrepresented groups in the pharmaceutical industry.

WuXi Biologics is a global contract research development and manufacturing organization that provides open-access, integrated technology platforms for biologics drug development. The company is located in Shanghai, China, and is relatively new, just opening in 2020.
