MPD tumbling drums can be designed for continuous or batch processing where gentle mixing of friable products, such as trail mixes and seasoning mixes, is required. These tumbling drums are frequently used to distribute dry or liquid coatings and additives on products such as pet food, breakfast cereal, or snack foods. Tumbling drums have been used in rotary scalping, clump breaking, and polishing capacities on products such as pectin fruit snacks, dried fruits, and dried legumes. The drums feature robust designs and can be all stainless steel, stainless product contact, or carbon steel construction. Sanitary construction to meet food or dairy requirements is a specialty. Custom lifting flights, cones, or other features are available.
