Supplements Firm Ion Labs Buys 1000-cu-ft Powder Blender

Supplements contract manufacturer Ion Labs announced Thursday that the company has purchased a 1000-cu-ft powder blender to improve its manufacturing capabilities for powder-based supplements. 

The Largo, FL-based firm said the new equipment will serve as a primary piece of machinery in for its contracted production of supplements and that the machine “could very well be the largest powder blender in North America in 2019.” 

With the purchase of the new blending system, the company now owns a total of 11 powder blenders with batch sizes ranging from 25kg to 14,000kg. The machines are capable of producing 100 million capsules and tablets per month, according to information on the company’s website. Two powder filling lines are currently in operation at Ion Labs’ production facility.

Ion Labs produces dietary supplements, Hemp/CBD supplements, pet supplements, skin care products and other goods. Beyond contract manufacturing, the firm also offers regulatory support for domestic and international clients, testing of raw materials and finished products, packaging, and product development services.
