Planetary Ball Mills
Fritsch P5 with Safe Lock System

Fritsch planetary mills classic line is most effective for rapid loss-free and reproducible ultra-fine grinding of hard, medium-hard, brittle, and fibrous dry materials or in suspension, for mixing and homogenizing, as well as for mechanical alloying/activation in materials research.

Samples can be processed from a few milligrams to several kilograms at a wide range of fineness levels down to less than 1 µm. They are easy to operate and clean. Matching grinding parts of various materials are also available to provide maximum protection against undesired contamination of the samples.

Advantages include:

* Up to 800 rpm
* Safe clamping of the bowls with the Safe-Lock-System
* Simple, ergonomic handling and easy cleaning
* Grinding bowls and balls in eight different materials to suit all needs and avoidance of contamination through abrasion – maximum protection against undesired contamination of the samples
* Consistent reproducibility
* Long, reliable service life even under continuous, heavy-duty usage

They work well with comminution of samples with a maximum feed particle size of up to 10 mm and a sample quantity of 0.5 – 900 ml down to a final fineness below 1 µm dry or in suspension. In addition to comminution, they are used for mixing and homogenizing of emulsions and pastes, as well as for mechanical alloying and activation in materials research.

Five different models are available.
