Custom-Engineered Rotary and Pugmill Mixers

Heyl & Patterson custom engineers industrial rotary and pugmill mixers to cost-effectively blend large continuous batches of wet or dry material, such as powders, slurries, and pastes, to create a homogeneous finished product. These mixers are also used in the recovery process of valuable elements such as lead, iron, and copper, to return them to the customer’s process stream. Mixing intensity, retention time, and product appearance can be controlled by changing the vessel rotational speed and slope. These mixers have been engineered to process materials such as gold ore, remediated soil, sugar, waste brine from oil sands, copper concentrate, ilmenite ore, monoammonium phosphate (MAP), and diammonium phosphate (DAP). They are also used for pH control of hazardous plant waste streams.
