Crews responded to a blaze in a dust collector at the M&M Sheet Metal facility in Old Lycoming Township, PA on Tuesday afternoon, according to a report by the Williamsport Sun-Gazette published Wednesday.

The fire started in the dust collection unit around 11:30 a.m., Old Lycoming Township Volunteer Fire Department Capt. Joseph Hopple told the newspaper. Firefighters managed to put out the fire within 30 minutes, but personnel had to disassemble the dust collector during the effort.

Capt. Hopple said in the Sun-Gazette’s coverage that the flames were limited to the equipment. Fire crews from four area municipalities also responded to the blaze.

The report did not offer details on whether or not injuries occurred during the incident.
