Firefighters from several municipalities responded to a blaze in a metal dust collector at the Racine Metal-Fab plant in Yorkville, WI last Friday, local officials said.

The fire started in the equipment and spread a large volume of smoke inside of the facility, forcing workers on site to evacuate, the Racine County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post. No injuries were logged during the incident.

Crews were able to contain the flames to the dust collection equipment, preventing damages to the facility. Officials said the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Racine Metal-Fab, a precision sheet metal manufacturer and fabrication service firm, was founded in 1968, according to its website. The company also produces stainless steel food preparation and processing equipment, medical equipment, commercial lighting and a range of other products.
