KWS Manufacturing Receives Pressure Vessel Repair Recertification

KWS Manufacturing Company, Ltd, one of the largest screw conveyor manufacturers in North America, has received recertification from the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors to repair pressure vessels.

The National Board Inspection Code (NBIC) is an internationally recognized standard that provides information and guidance to perform, verify, and document acceptable repairs or alterations to pressure vessels. Pressure vessels repaired in accordance with the NBIC receive an “R” stamp on the name plate of the vessel.

“Receiving recertification to the NBIC shows our commitment to our customers and our desire for continuous improvement,” said Bill Mecke, P.E., president of KWS. “KWS is the only screw conveyor manufacturer in the world that is certified to NBIC, ASME, and ISO 9001 standards. These certifications allow KWS to provide the highest quality equipment and service to our customers. Our quality system ensures that our equipment is designed and manufactured to rigid specifications and validated by exceeding performance expectations.”

Founded in 1972, KWS is a leader in the design and manufacture of conveying equipment for the bulk material handling industry. KWS has a complete product line of mechanical conveying and process equipment with expertise in providing the correct solution for the application.
