Conveyor Equipment Orders Increase 29%

The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association (CEMA) reported that its September 2020 booked orders increased 29.14% over August 2020.
September 2020 booked orders decreased by 1.92% when compared to September 2019 booked orders.
September 2020 booked orders for Bulk Handling Equipment increased 3.71% compared to August 2020. September 2020 booked orders for Unit Handling Equipment increased 34.28% when compared to August 2020.
CEMA’s September 2020 billed sales (shipments) increased by 12.38% when compared to September 2019. This is a significant change over August 2020’s decrease of 3.11% from August 2019 billed sales.
September 2020 billed sales increased 17.70% when compared to August 2020. This contrasts with the August 2020 decline of 5.43% when compared to July 2020.
September 2020 billed sales for Bulk Handling Equipment increased 2.62% when compared to August 2020. September 2020 billed sales for Unit Handling Equipment increased 22% when compared to August 2020. The Bulk Handling increase follows a 3.31% increase in August 2020 vs. July 2020. Unit Handling’s increase compares to a decrease of 7.66% last month (August) vs. July 2020.
