Conveying Equipment Orders Soar 95%

The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association (CEMA) reported that its October 2020 booked orders increased by 95.51% when compared to October 2019.
This follows September 2020’s booked order decrease of 1.92% when compared to September 2019.
October 2020 booked orders when compared to September 2020 booked orders increased 19.08%.
October 2020 booked orders for Bulk Handling Equipment increased 4.53% compared to September 2020 booked orders. October 2020 booked orders for Unit Handling Equipment increased 21.36% when compared to September 2020.
CEMA’s October 2020 billed sales (shipments) increased by 34.51% when compared to October 2019. This is a significant change over September 2020’s increase of 12.38% from September 2019 billed sales.
October 2020 billed sales decreased 6.81% when compared to September 2020. This contrasts with the September 2020 increase of 17.70% when compared to August 2020.
October 2020 billed sales for Bulk Handling Equipment increased 11.85% when compared to September 2020 billed sales. The Bulk Handling increase follows a 2.62% increase in September 2020 vs. August 2020. October 2020 billed sales for Unit Handling Equipment decreased 11.29% when compared to September 2020. The billed sales for Unit Handling’s decrease compares to an increase of 22% for last month (September 2020) vs. August 2020.
September 2020 billed sales for Bulk Handling Equipment increased 2.62% when compared to August 2020 billed sales. September 2020 billed sales for Unit Handling Equipment increased 22% when compared to August 2020. The Bulk Handling increase follows a 3.31% increase in August 2020 vs. July 2020. Unit Handling’s increase compares to a decrease of 7.66% last month (August) vs. July 2020.
