Conveying Equipment Orders Plummet

The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association (CEMA) reported that its January 2016 booked orders decreased 17.4% when compared to January 2015 orders.

When compared to December 2015, January 2016 booked orders were down 40%.

January booked orders were down 3.3% for Bulk Handling Equipment and down 24.7% for Unit Handling Equipment when compared to December.

CEMA’s January 2016 billed sales (shipments) increased by 1.5% when compared to January 2015 sales, and 7.3% when compared to December 2015.
 
January billed sales were down 12% for Bulk Handling Equipment and down 8.1% for Unit Handling Equipment when compared to December.
