The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association (CEMA) reports that its July 2022 booked orders decreased by 55.84% when compared to July 2021 and 52.22% compared to June 2022 booked orders.

June 2022 booked orders had increased 39.58% compared to May 2022. July 2022 booked orders for Bulk Handling Equipment decreased 15.06% compared to June. July 2022 booked orders for Unit Handling Equipment decreased 63.39% when compared to June 2022.

CEMA’s July 2022 billed sales (shipments) decreased by 16.99% compared to July 2021. July 2022 billed sales decreased 30.85% compared to June 2022. This contrasts with the June 2022 increase of 32.3% when compared to May 2022.

July 2022 billed sales for Bulk Handling Equipment decreased 27.62% when compared to June 2022. The Bulk Handling decrease follows a 12.59% increase for June 2022 vs. May 2022. July 2022 billed sales for Unit Handling Equipment decreased 31.58% when compared to June 2022. The billed sales for Unit Handling’s decrease compares to an increase of 37.8% for June 2022 vs. May 2022.
