Nordco Acquires Royal Tractor

Nordco Inc. announced it has acquired Royal Tractor, a leading manufacturer of heavy lift trucks and specialized hauling equipment.

The acquisition will expand Nordco’s industrial business unit that is already a market leader with its Shuttlewagon railcar movers. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
 
New Century, KS-based Royal Tractor has been a leader in the design and manufacturing of heavy lift trucks and specialized hauling equipment for 46 years. Jim Hardwick, CEO of Royal Tractor, will remain with the company to assist with the integration.
 
“Royal Tractor is a natural fit for Nordco and complements our existing portfolio of highly engineered products,” said Bruce Boczkiewicz, CEO of Nordco. “I’m confident this acquisition will provide our customers with not only additional high quality products but expanded top notch service and support.”
 
Royal Tractor’s operations will be moved into Nordco’s Grandview, MO facility.
 
Nordco provides an extensive selection of products and services that make it possible for rail-related industries to safely improve their transportation and its product velocity. Nordco, established in 1926 and headquartered in Oak Creek, WI, has a long history as a manufacturer of new and rebuilt railroad roadway work equipment. Today the company’s product line includes in-house and on-site machinery inspection and repair, mobile railcar movers; ultrasonic rail flaw testing equipment and services for railroads and other industries; on-site service and replacement parts.
 
Nordco operates manufacturing facilities in Oak Creek, WI, Beacon Falls, CT, Grandview, MO; and Arcola, IL.
