Jenike & Johanson Offers Bulk Material Handling Courses

Bulk material engineering firm Jenike & Johanson is offering bulk material handling and pneumatic conveying courses at the MicroTek facilities in Burlington MA this July. Sponsored by the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), the courses offer 2.3 CEUs or 23 PDHs for your professional development requirements.

The courses, Flow of Solids in Bins, Hoppers, Chutes, and Feeders and Pneumatic Conveying of Bulk Solids, run from July 9 to 11. Jenike & Johanson is also offering a tour of its Bulk Material Lab in Tyngsboro, MA on July 12.

In Flow of Solids in Bins, Hoppers, Chutes, and Feeders, participants learn proven design and troubleshooting principles for handling bulk solids for safe and trouble-free plant operation.

In the Pneumatic Conveying of Bulk Solids course, instructors will review the fundamentals of gas/solids flow and address common pneumatic conveying problems, modes of transport in a pipeline and scale-model tests and their use in designing and evaluating poorly operating systems.
