Agricultural products and services provider Northside Elevator is preparing to invest $20 million to build a new agronomy site in Stanley, WI, a recent company release announced. The project will include a tower system fertilizer manufacturing plant, a fertilizer storage warehouse, office space, and a rail spur.

“We are anticipating the future needs of agricultural producers; this investment demonstrates Northside’s commitment to these individuals, and the future of farming throughout the region,” Dean Schiller, director of operations for Northside Elevator, said in a statement.

The new facility will boost the firm’s distribution efficiency and lower travel time for application equipment. Situated along State Highway 29, the site will also provide additional transportation options to support customers in the Chippewa Valley area and other regions of Wisconsin.

Up to 10 jobs will be created when the facility becomes operational.
