Brother Gearmotors Offers H1 Food-Grade Grease in U.S. Facility
March 17, 2015
Brother Gearmotors, a division of Brother International Corp. that offers a wide range of ultra-reliable, sub-fractional AC gearmotors and reducers for the food & beverage, packaging, and material handling industries, now offers H1 food-grade grease at its U.S. manufacturing facility in Tennessee.
H1 grease is a food-grade lubricant used in food processing environments where there is the possibility of incidental food contact. Class H1 lubricants are approved by the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) and may be used on equipment and machine parts that are used to manufacture food and drink for human consumption.
Brother Gearmotors is one of the world’s largest fine-pitch gear manufacturers and meets industry demand for smaller, lighter, reliable, and energy-efficient power transmission components. The H1 grease is supplied through Brother Gearmotors’ U.S. assembly facility in Bartlett, TN, which houses onsite assembly of over 27,000 unique SKUs and serves as a maintenance and repair hub. The site allows Brother Gearmotors to meet customers’ needs with 3-5-day delivery of a wide array of products, as well as provide emergency overnight delivery when necessary.
“The expedient availability of high-quality H1 food-grade grease is yet another reason for food manufacturers and OEM suppliers to turn to Brother Gearmotors automation needs,” said Matthew Roberson, senior director of Brother Gearmotors. “We have established a reputation in the OEM marketplace for compact sizes, durable finishes, and reduced maintenance and downtime.”
At the Bartlett facility, on-site technology also makes available a more comprehensive product mix to North American customers, including 16 different gear ratios and six voltage options. In addition, Brother Gearmotors’ expanded range of bore sizes open up a broader potential customer base for the company’s gearmotors.
Key attributes of gearmotors from Brother include:
• Light, reliable, and compact in size
• High torque at low speed
• Sealed for life for maximum efficiency and reduced labor
• Standard high-grade grease for lifetime lubrication and reduced maintenance/downtime
• High-quality, durable, e-coat paint to withstand the toughest environments
* More efficient than worm gearboxes as a result of hardened hypoid gearing
