Massive Chemical Plant Fire Causes Evacuations

Hundreds of residents left without power

A massive fire at the Nox-Crete Inc. chemical plant in Omaha, NE caused residents southwest of the city to evacuate and left hundreds of residents without power Monday night.

According to reports, no one was at the facility when firefighters arrived at about 8 p.m. Eastern and no injuries were reported. The facility manufactures chemical products.

The cause of the fire was unknown, but propane bottles had exploded at the site.
