Interceptor-HRD Explosion Suppression System

The Interceptor-HRD system is designed to provide an active method to protect process system equipment from a dust explosion hazard. The principle of operation for the Interceptor-HRD system is detection of a pressure rise during the initial stage of an explosion, followed by fast injection and homogenous distribution of an extinguishing agent into the protected vessel. The system features an advanced microprocessor control unit with 24-hour battery backup. Explosion detection is provided by either the dynamic DetEx pressure sensor or LumEx optical sensor. A variety of chemical suppressants can be delivered from the Interceptor-HRD bottles that feature an integrated OSHA lockout.
