Fire Reported at Perdue Farms Facility

A soybean processing tank caught fire

A fire occurred at a Perdue Farms grain processing and storage facility in Chesapeake, VA Saturday night. No injuries were reported.

All employees were evacuated from the facility after the was reported just after 8:30 Saturday night.

When they arrived at the facility, firefighters found a large soybean processing tank on fire. It took the crew about an hour to get the blaze under control.
