According to local news ABC 30 KFSN, an early-morning fire on Feb. 23 at the Ruiz Foods plant in Dinuba, CA is now contained as crews investigate how it started.

Firefighters were called to the facility on Alta Avenue near Avenue 416 just after 5:30 Thursday morning. They believe the fire started in the building's air system.

Crews used ladder trucks to put out flames on the roof and were out all morning, monitoring the facility for any hot spots.

Officials say one person was treated for minor injuries and taken to the hospital as a precaution.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Ruiz Foods has been making frozen Mexican food in the South Valley since the 1960s, with items sold in grocery stores nationwide. Product brands include El Monterey, Artisan Bistro, Plantivore, and Tornados.
