Dust Filtration System Explodes at Pellet Plant
Fire crews were called to a pellet plant in Ontario on Sunday after an explosion and fire occurred in a dust filtration system.

Firefighters responded to a report of a fire and explosion at a pellet plant at the Richardson International grain terminal in Thunder Bay, ON this Sunday, several local news organizations reported.
Arriving on scene at about 1 pm, crews observed thick black smoke and flames on the roof of the facility, officials told TBNewsWatch.com.
Flames were isolated to the dust filter and explosion doors contained the blast, coverage by NetNewsLedger.com said. The dust filtration equipment and pipes were damaged during the incident.
No one was injured by the explosion and fire. The cause of the incident has not been established.
Richardson’s two port terminals in Thunder Bay is one of Canada’s biggest handlers of durum wheat, feed peas, and oats, according to the firm’s website.
