A massive exploson and fire at the Om Organics chemical factory in the Dahej industrial area in the Bharuch district of India's western state of Gujarat left six workers dead early Monday morning.

Officials say the explosion and fire occurred during a chemical process. The exact cause was being investigated.

Om Organics's website says it is a manufacturer of rich mix organic manure and rich active growth promoter
