The Shyne Labs hemp extraction plant in Franklin, TN was declared a total loss after a fire swept through the facility Tuesday evening, local television news station WBKO reported. The facility produced cannabidiol (CBD) oil.

Officials told the station that a number of area fire departments were called to the facility and worked for hours to control the flames. Several explosions occurred as firefighters were responding to the incident.

The large fire rendered the structure a total loss, the report said. No injuries were logged.

Shyne Labs’ 15,000-sq-ft plant in Franklin has a biomass to CBD isolate capacity of 15,000 lb/day, information on the firm’s website states. The location is GMP licensed.
