The PepsiCo-owned firm added a new manufacturing and packaging equipment at its Bridgeview, IL facility.
PepsiCo-owned food firm Quaker Oats has completed an expansion project at its Bridgeview, IL facility to help the company meet an uptick in demand for Cheetos Mac ‘N Cheese products, several food industry trade publications reported this week.
During the project, the company installed a new pasta press and dryer, as well as a packaging line. Quaker Oats told Food Business News that the new machinery will enable the location to produce 5 million cases of Cheetos Mac ‘N Cheese annually and double production of pasta and rice-related offerings there, including products sold under the Rice-A-Roni, Pasta Roni, and Near East brands.
“What’s great is this line also can be used for any of our other pasta or rice-based products, so it allows for some flexibility,” Quaker Oats said in coverage by Baking Business.
