Key Technology Appoints Golden State Food Machinery as Western U.S. Sales Rep

Key Technology has announced the appointment of Golden State Food Machinery Inc. as its exclusive sales representative in California, south of Fresno; Nevada, excluding the Reno metropolitan area; and all of Arizona and Hawaii. Golden State is responsible for the sale of Key’s automated inspection and sorting systems, specialized conveying, and processing equipment to food processing customers in these areas.
“Key worked with Golden State very successfully several years ago and we’re pleased to renew the relationship. Based on their experience with Key’s products, their knowledge of the food processing industry, and their strong customer relationships, they will come up to speed very quickly,” noted Steve Pellegrino, director of sales U.S. and Canada. “Golden State is responsible for an extremely important territory. Since its formation in 1990, Golden State has specialized in serving the fresh-cut produce, frozen food, canning, dried fruit, nut, and wine industries. Led by industry veterans Roger Hornsby and Ron Sharples, they have expertise in the baby whole carrot production that surrounds the Bakersfield, CA area and the fresh-cut produce industry in California’s Salinas Valley.
