Confectionery products manufacturer HARIBO of America Inc. recently signed a lease on a 157,656-sq-ft warehouse at the Bristol Highlands Commerce Center in Bristol, WI to expand its distribution capabilities, the industrial park’s owner, HSA Commercial, announced Monday. The warehouse will be located about two miles from its first North American manufacturing site in Pleasant Prairie, WI.

“Utilizing this great warehouse space in Bristol is an exciting first step in HARIBO’s Midwest distribution presence,” Lauren Triffler, head of corporate communications for HARIBO of America, said in a release. “The move unlocks a logistics and supply chain capacity expansion that supports our accelerating growth throughout the United States, and it will enable us to serve our customers with speed and efficiency working in tandem with our warehouses on the east and west coast.”

The company will start to operate in the building in the first quarter of 2022.

HARIBO’s $300 million production site in Wisconsin will include a 487,000-sq-ft production facility, a 87,866-sq-ft warehouse, as well as several smaller utility buildings and a gatehouse, Powder & Bulk Solids reported. More than 380 direct jobs will be created when the Pleasant Prairie plant opens.
