Grain Dryer Fire Reported at Dakota Specialty Milling Facility
Reports said firefighters responded to the Fargo, ND site after a blaze broke out in a 100-ft dryer Monday night.
Fire crews were dispatched to the Dakota Specialty Milling Co. facility in Fargo, ND Monday night after a fire ignited inside of a 100-ft grain dryer inside the structure, several local news organizations reported.
Arriving on scene at about 7:50 p.m., firefighters observed smoke on the exterior of the building and flames in the drying equipment and some connected vents, according to WZFG. The fire also spread to a wall.
Officials called a second alarm due to visibility issues, coverage by ValleyNewsLive.com said. The fire was extinguished by 10:30 p.m.
No injuries were logged during the response.
Dakota Specialty Grains produces a range of processed grain products, including flakes and flours, from barley, beans, oats, millet, and other crops.
