Firefighters were sent to the Milk Vita milk powder processing plant in Baghabari, Bangladesh Saturday evening after a fire ignited in a piece of production equipment, according to local news reports.

The blaze started around 8:30 p.m. on the fourth floor of the facility, and the flames quickly accelerated, Shahjadpur Fire Service Station Officer Rezaul Karim said in coverage by news website Fourals.com. Crews worked for about an hour and a half to get the fire under control.

Officer Karim told online publication Risingbd.com that the incident was caused by a “sudden electrical short circuit inside a milk powder making machine” and noted that the flames damaged the equipment.

Details on damage to the structure were not available, according to Risingbd.com.

Reports did not offer information on injuries during the fire.
