Coca-Cola Company-owned value-added dairy products manufacturer fairlife LLC recently announced the creation of a management team to lead its new 300,000-sq-ft production and distribution facility in Goodyear, AZ.

Neil Betteridge was named Senior Vice President (SVP) of Global Manufacturing Technologies  and will oversee the Arizona plant. The company also appointed Troy Hancock as plant manager.

“Neil and Troy are critical hires and they both have impressive backgrounds, including successful startups of major manufacturing plants,” fairlife Chief Executive Officer Tim Doelman said in a company press release. “This makes them the right people to scale our production and help fulfil our mission to nourish more people.”

Slated to open this winter, the Goodyear plant will include production lines with advanced manufacturing technologies and equipment that will boost the company’s capacity.

In his new role, Betteridge will work to create and execute operating protocols, policies, and procedures that help fairlife to meet operational goals. Prior to joining fairlife, he worked at Synlait Milk Limited for 12 years and at Fonterra for 10 years. Betteridge most recently served as Principal for the consulting firm Dairy MTS.

Hancock will build a team of technical professionals to staff the site and coordinate and implement the day-to-day management of the plant’s operations.

About 100 new jobs will be created as a result of the opening of the new fairlife plant.

Coca-Cola acquired of all remaining shares of fairlife this January from its joint venture partner Select Milk Producers. fairlife operates as a standalone business.
