Batory Foods is proud to be certified by Great Place To Work for the 2nd consecutive year and 3rd time overall. The award is based entirely on what current employees say about their experience working at Batory Foods. This year, 80% of employees said it’s a great place to work, which is 23 points higher than the average US company.

Great Place To Work is a global authority on workplace culture, employee experience, and the leadership behaviors proven to deliver market-leading revenue, employee retention and increased innovation.

"Great Place To Work Certification is a highly coveted achievement that requires consistent and intentional dedication to the overall employee experience," said Sarah Lewis-Kulin, VP of Global Recognition at Great Place To Work. She emphasizes that certification is the sole official recognition earned by the real-time feedback of employees regarding their company culture. “By successfully earning this recognition, it is evident that Batory Foods stands out as one of the top companies to work for, providing a great workplace environment for its employees."

“We are thrilled to earn the title again of Great Place to Work-Certified as it’s a reflection of the hard work and dedication happening across the company every day,” said Rita Ramirez, Batory’s chief people & sustainability officer. “Culture is not a program or a one-size-fits-all solution, it is an ongoing commitment by the company and every employee to uphold standards and behaviors that align with Batory’s values. Listening generously to honest employee feedback is one of the most valuable tools in our strategy.”

Batory Foods is on a mission to build a people-first culture. Recently, Ramirez was appointed to the position of chief people & sustainability officer, the first role of its kind at Batory and the first woman to hold a C-Suite position at the company since its inception in 1979.

This year, Ramirez’s “People Excellence” team introduced a comprehensive well-being program, Be Positively Excellent, which provides necessary resources and education around seven areas of well-being that impact employee daily life: physical, emotional, occupational, financial, environmental, social, and spiritual. Next, she plans to launch The Batory Way Academy, which focuses on leadership development and will continue to expand existing programs to support an environment of belonging, where employees feel confident to “Bring You, Every Day,” a core value at the company.

“Through this and other programs administered by the People Excellence department, we’ve made significant strides in empowering employees to sustain a culture that values and supports people as human beings, and not just a number,” said Ramirez. “84% of our employees say they’re proud to tell others they work at Batory, and to me, that’s incredible.”

According to Great Place To Work research, job seekers are 4.5 times more likely to find a great boss at a Certified great workplace. Additionally, employees at Certified workplaces are 93% more likely to look forward to coming to work, and are twice as likely to be paid fairly, earn a fair share of the company’s profits and have a fair chance at promotion.
