Professional job search ZipRecruiter created a list of the highest paying food manufacturing positions this year.

No matter if you want to delve into the industry or you are a seasoned veteran, this list is a good place to start thinking about which area you would like to move into. As well, the list includes a short summary of the job responsibilities. This is not a be all, end all list, however. And remember that location is a big determining factor on wages.

The most substantial numbers of jobs in the food manufacturing industry are in meat production. If that doesn’t sound interesting, there are positions in other areas such as quality control or quality assurance to ensure the safety of the food that the company is manufacturing or the safety of the equipment they use in the manufacturing process.

There are plenty of ways to get into food manufacturing based on your qualifications. If you want to work as a baker or chef, you can attend culinary school or work your way up in the industry. If you'd like to get into meat processing, you may need to earn a certificate, but you can also learn on the job from a veteran processor.

If that still doesn't sound like the right fit, you can always work in a food manufacturing plant or factory. These jobs usually do not require degrees and are varied in responsibilities. You could work with cooking equipment, canning equipment, packaging equipment, or as a quality controller.
