A fire broke out in a piece of conveying equipment at the British Sugar plant in Bury St. Edmonds, UK on Thursday, prompting a response from 15 area fire crews, local news organizations reported.

Firefighters were called to the scene at about 3:50 p.m. and found an active 30m by 30m fire upon arrival, according toThe East Anglican Daily Times. The fire reportedly originated in a high-rise structure at the site.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue said in a Facebook post that the fire occurred in a conveyor belt in a processing plant.

“There are no casualties at this incident and crews will remain on scene for some time,” a fire and rescue service spokesperson told the BBC.

The facility’s plant manager said that operations at the Bury St. Edmunds plant were not impacted by the blaze in a comment to Suffolk News. British Sugar has initiated an investigation into the incident.
