Vegetation and soil management solutions firm Profile Products announced the launch of a $9 million project on Tuesday to expand its manufacturing capabilities and capacity and improve its safety and quality systems.

“We are continually looking for ways to elevate the industries we serve through our innovative products, state-of-the-art facilities and educational initiatives,” Jim Tanner, the company’s president and CEO, said in a release. “This expansion is a continuation of our commitment to meet our customers’ needs and exceed their expectations by providing the best solutions for their environment.”

During the expansion, Profile will add fiber processing capacity, new packaging assets, and updated warehousing at its plants in Conover, NC and Rockford, WA.

The company expects the project to reach completion by the end of this year.

Profile is a manufacturer and distributor of erosion and vegetative solutions for a range of end users, including landscaping, mine reclamation, transportation, waste management and coal-fired plants, according to information on the company’s website.

Powder & Bulk Solids reported last week that a two-alarm fire broke out in bagger and auger systems at Profile’s Conover plant. No injuries were reported.
