Worker Seriously Burned in Cosmetics Plant Explosion

An explosion at the JCS Global Distribution cosmetics plant in Carlstadt, NJ Tuesday seriously injured a worker.
According to Detective Sgt. John Cleary of the Carlstadt Police Department, the 58-year-old employee had been mixing cosmetic products in a 55-gal drum when it exploded at about 1pm. The worker was taken to the hospital. Her condition was unavailable.
No one else was near the area of the explosion or injured as a result. An OSHA investigation was underway.
