Two Killed in Granite Quarry Explosion

Two workers were killed in an explosion at the SNMI rock-crushing plant in Keesara, India Friday, according to the Times of India.

 

The plant manufactures gravel and sand. Reports indicate that it was raining at the time of the explosion and that lighting may have caused the blast. Both workers were pronounced dead at the scene.

 

An investigation was pending.
