Powder Show Booth 1238 - Industrial dryer systems have an increased risk of fires and explosions. Many dryer fires begin from smoldering embers due to self-heating Maillard reactions of material deposits. The CO.Pilot is a solution to this problem. The CO.Pilot is a carbon monoxide (CO) detection system with high precision based on tunable Laser Absorption Spectroscopy.

Using a PC-based material database and custom process flow algorithms the CO.Pilot can quickly detect smoldering embers and fires based on their CO biproduct signature within the process. Early detection allows for manual or automatic intervention to prevent them from becoming an ignition source for larger fires or explosion.

The CO.Pilot’s precise, self-calibrating laser measurement of CO and humidity in multiple gas streams provides accurate real-time data to detect and prevent fire hazards while providing process control optimization.
