Combustible Dust Testing Strategies for Different Types of Dust

Commercial laboratories offer a confusing array of test options for characterizing combustible dust hazards. This hour-long webinar, Combustible Dust Testing Strategies for Different Types of Dust, provides a clear overview of available test methods and how the test data are used as part of a dust hazard assessment. A practical approach towards developing a sampling and test strategy is offered, which includes tips on how to deal with specific classes of dust such as “marginally explosible”, “hard-to-ignite”, those with very low minimum ignition energies, and metallic vs. non-metallic materials.

This webinar is presented by Martin Clouthier, M.Sc., P.Eng., director and practice leader for combustible dust testing and consulting services at Jensen Hughes, and moderated by Powder & Bulk Solids editor-in-chief, Kevin Cronin.
