The Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE) will honor the 2011 class of SAMPE Fellows at SAMPE 2011, on May 23 in Long Beach, CA.

The SAMPE Fellow Award recognizes SAMPE members for their distinguished, lifelong contributions in the fields of materials and processes. Since its inception in 1982, only 129 distinguished individuals have been designated as a SAMPE Fellow.

The 2011 SAMPE Fellows are:

Dr. Rikard Heslehurst, University College UNSW, Australia Chapter

Dr. John Russell, Air Force Research Laboratory, Midwest Chapter

Dr. Peter Wu, Spirit AeroSystems, Wichita Chapter

Prof. Xiao-Su Yi, Beijing Institute of Aero Materials & Materials AVIC, Beijing Chapter

The 2011 SAMPE Fellows will be honored at a special Fellow Banquet on Monday evening, May 23, at the Renaissance Hotel. This event will take place during the SAMPE 2011 Conference and Exhibition in Long Beach, May 23-26, 2011.
