Mettler-Toledo Product Inspection Demonstration Bus Showcased
April 20, 2009
Mettler-Toledo Hi-Speed and Mettler-Toledo Safeline, worldwide leaders in checkweighing, metal detection, and x-ray inspection equipment, will be showcasing the Product Inspection Demo Bus. The bus travels throughout the year to food and pharmaceutical plants providing a convenient hands-on training opportunity for processors and packagers to gain specific knowledge about how to limit product waste and contamination in their plants. Staffed by a technical trainer, it features working checkweighers, metal detectors, and
X-ray inspection systems and offers interactive machine and product testing demonstrations.
The advanced PowerPhasePRO metal detector features a color touch screen interface and one pass automatic setup. Its clustering capability allows multiple product types to be run without changing settings for maximum uptime. The PowerPhasePLUS ultra-high-frequency metal detector offers increased sensitivity, particularly to non-ferrous and difficult-to-detect stainless steel contaminants.
The compact Gravity Flow metal detector fits easily into limited spaces and its low-pressure diverter valve minimizes product loss during contamination removal regardless of product flow for maximum profits.
The Pipeline metal detector stands up to extreme processing and washdown environments. Its patented design makes cleaning fast and easy for more uptime on processing lines.
The Tablex 2 pharmaceutical detector zeros in on tramp metal from broken screens, sieves, worn punches, dies, or bulk raw materials and automatically rejects contaminated tablets and capsules for ultimate brand protection. The triple axis detection head offers tool-free adjustment to fit any press output configuration.
The PowerChekPlus X-ray system detects physical contaminants and automatically scans for missing or broken product, detects package voids, and confirms fill levels to guarantee product and package integrity. The AdvanChek X-ray system is designed as a sophisticated but simple unit for users that require contamination detection without the complexities normally associated with x-ray inspection. Utilizing a vertical single beam, it detects and rejects many contaminants including metal, stone, bone, and glass.
The Cornerstone XS checkweigher features a large IP-69K user interface that makes it ideal for wet or harsh wash down environments. The easy to learn, multilingual color touch screen is simple to operate for fast product set-up and changeover ensuring more uptime performance. "No-tool" belt change-out speeds up maintenance, reduces downtime, and increases overall productivity.
The XE2 checkweigher features patented electromagnetic force restoration (EMFR) weigh cell technology that ensures sustained accuracies over long production cycles. Tight tolerances are maintained from the first to the last package weighed.
